Default Brooke: The Fix is In

before is sooc and admittedly it's underexposed by almost 2 stops...

after: Seems like a good save - at least in my Benji-esk mind

there were a lot of individual steps but in general the process was:
LR: increase the exposure and fill light. move the black point, slightly desaturate
PS: skin repair and eye enhance
Nik Color Efex - skin glow
    Nik Sharpener
    Nik dfine Noise reduction

Wow, that's a great save in my book Bruce - nice recovery. If I hadn't seen the original, I would never have guessed!

I figured I'd man up and admit to the over-processing at from the get-go.

Thanks Susan! Now if I could get it right in the camera, I wouldn't need all this fancy-smancy software

LOL! I hear ya on that! But, isn't it so nice when you see something like this, and then realize you shot it in RAW?
