Default Chrome car

Before:
car-one

After:
car-one-a

To get this look I:

1) added contrast
2) removed some of the white level in the photo (slider under exposure in iPhoto adjust dialog)
And this is what got the "before" look here
(I do not have a copy of the original online but it was pretty simple looked like any snapshot of any car)

3) Then used the iPhoto enhance color effect till there was a bit more green
4) then used the iPhoto fade color effect till most of all other color was out
5) then again used the enhance color effect to increase the greenish tint

By going back and forth a bit and looking while working I could get the chrome/greenish look I wanted for this shot.

It's a subtle difference, to me...but it's worth it. The second photo looks great.

I think the change is one of the best kinds of changes you can make. First it's very subtle, which can be a very difficult thing to master. Yet it can easily make something blah, something great.

Secondly it really works with the image. An overall metallic feel of the image was always there but has been greatly enhanced. Nothing was created or forced in the enhancement, which is nice.

Great job Jayson. As stated the change is subtle but
very effective. I especially like the increased contrast.
