Before...
![]() After... ![]() To start with I adjusted the saturation overall, until I got the wheat to what I was looking for. I used a slow shutter speed, 1/20 sec at F25, to capture the movement of the wheat blowing in the wind. I wanted the sky to have some color so I did a search for turning the sky blue. I found my answer at Learning | E13: Creating a blue sky | Photoshop.com . I created a layer of the sky and gave it a shade of blue by following the video. On the computer it has a pink tinge to it, when I printed it the pink is pretty much gone. Comments and suggestion are welcome. |

I considered doing that but ran into several problems, I didn't have any pictures with clouds that I thought would work and I didn't know enough about PSE to do that. I now have some cloud pictures and a little knowledge, maybe it's time to give it a try.Up date coming soon.

The blue sky is too much.
It made the picture look too fake. But other than that it's perfect, specially the wheat. |

This is a really great attempt, but I have to agree with the others that the sky is a little bit overdone. It's really easy to do as you have the perfect blue sky in your mind's eye but can never quite pull it out of Photoshop...
Might have helped you in this regard if the initial shot was slightly underexposed...? Or another idea would be to have take two shots on the day - one with a darker sky and one with a correctly exposed foreground and then merged them together in post? (Assuming that there was any Blue in the sky that day of course....) Cheers, Glyn |
