Default Teen Girl Before & After

This was shot with the 5Dii +70-200L II combo, natural light, reflector, camera right.

Post processing wise, I toned down the highlights on her skin a little bit (I love dramatic, dimensional lighting, but don't want any blown skin tones), a tad bit of liquify here and there, and altered the color and tones of the background to add more richness and depth. I also pulled the blues out of her white skirt.

Punched up very nicely. But why the odd crop? Or is that a quirk of resizing?

Thank you Jim. It's just personal preference...I prefer the 5x7 ratio vs the 4x6 SOOC ratio.

Proof of how to get it right in-camera, then just add to the image. Lovely, Lisa!

You know, for me, it is really cool to see your before and after images. It inspires me.

But, where did you add the liquefy process?

To me, it looks like lower back for starters, but I can't pick anywhere else.

Great work as usual Lisa

Bingo! Lower back (disclaimer: this gal obviously does not NEED liquify...it was mainly the combo of the pose & outfit that created an odd silhouette) and a tiny bit on the eyes and smile. That was it!

Lisa your edit is fantastic!

I'm just learning Photoshop and there are so many choices I often don't know where to begin and what choices to make. I LOVE threads like this where we can see before and after and the choices the photographer made in POST. It really is a great help to those of us just learning so a big thanks. TFS
