Default Picture of my wife restored

As you can see this picture was the best part of destroyed. It was taken with a Brownie camera back in (you guess). Anyway this was the only picture like it for the day. It had to be saved.

After several hours of clone stamp work I was able to remove the cracks in the gelatin and repair the damaged areas of the picture.

Here is the completed image.

Total working time : approx 8-10 hours

Thanks to everyone for all the kind comments. The real trick is to have undying patience and do correction one level above actual pixles so you are actually working with things at a "sub pixel" level.

Please, forgive my ignorance, but I would really like to know what it means. How does one work at a "sub pixel" level?

When you are zooming to the "actual pixels" zoom one more time and there you are. I guess I sounded a bit vague and pretentious.
