Default Beach Portrait SOOC and Edit

Nice enough picture SOOC of but also kinda boring.

B4After

I took a better sky from another image and added it as a layer.
I used the quick selection tool to the original layer and selected everything that crossed the horizon and copied it above the sky layer (it did not need to be perfect, because I reduced the opacity of the new sky)
Reduced opacity to 50% on sky layer
Flattened new image
Curves adjustment
Levels adjustment
Sharpened eyes (not that you can tell in this resolution)
Used patch tool to remove specular highlights from strobe
Applied highpass filter to sharpen

Final Image:

Nicely done. I'm always amazed how changing a sky can give more depth to an image.

Nicely done.

IMHO, some of the sky can be cropped and that thing behind them in the sea, can be safely removed. Nobody will miss it
