Cute kiddies! i like the cilored shot becasuse the black and white conversion looks muddy , needing more work

I think a simple layer adjustment to remove from of the red for the colored image would make everyone happy :-)

Thanks so much for the replies! This web site is exactly wha i have been looking for. I need some guidence in the editing department. I am new at PS and am learning with every picture I take! Cute kids. I think you may have lost a little of the definition in the wee lads face when you 'washed' it.
Try out the Critique section, it might be just what you're looking for.
