Arrow Miserable day - brightened up a bit!

It's a miserable day today. I didn't spend enough to get a weatherproof camera so I decided to take a few shots from my kitchen window. I got a few shots of people returning from the shops and I like some of the colours I was capturing so I did a bit of work on this one:

I didn't do much to the image, just cropped followed by a faded b&w conversion with the umbrella selected (by colour range) and masked through. Then I boosted the umbrella contrast and added a vignette.

Any feedback would be great!

Looks great to me I like the faded out look and I really like the high vantage point.

Thumbs up

Thanks Gaz. It feels like I'm a bit disadvantaged being nine storeys up and on a hill but I've got a 50-200mm lens and I'm starting to appreciate the vantage point.
