Default Bluemoon

I was woken up by the moonlight shining through my window at 5:30am. I tried a lot of shots without flash. I can't remember if I set the cam to night mode or just popped up the flash - my goal was to light up the foreground to eliminate some of the moon's light.

Before
Before: Moon at 530am

I believe I have a pretty clear shot of the moon there although it's too tiny. So I cropped it. I then added more shadow to make the photo darker, increasing contrast. I then slide the color adjustment tool to cool, rendering my lovely moon bluish.

After (tadah!)
After: Bluemoon

I used Picasa2 to edit this photo.

Maybe instead using flash you can set the exposure for the foreground and use a little bit of your zoom to get a more clear shot of our beautiful satellite. I think I tried that before with good results.
Good look!

Default Goal Achived?

Iīm not sure about this, but, isnīt it that when you bright up the foreground the lights in the background kinda disappear?

If that so, I think that what FatimaManila wanted to achive (show how bright the moon was, that WOKE HER UP) She actually did.

Am I too wrong??? Please someone correct me If I am, so I donīt mess up ,y pictures.... (May be Iīll have to reconsider this photography thing all over :P )

Thanks for the tip. Too bad this is as far as my lens could go.

I'm still getting to know my d80. What should be a good exposure setting?

Default you're right!

Hmmm, that's right! I did capture a clearer shot of the moon but failed to capture the story of that moment. I didn't catch the light that woke me up! yeah... too bad. Hope to catch that next full moon

Wouldn't even know it was the same photo. Dramatic change for the better.
