Default blue eyes and red wall - heavy cropping and pp

From For DPS

lily's eyes

I was going through my photos to find something for the group "eyes eyes". So that was the first reason to crop that close - the other that the hat was overexposed. i know the contrast is heavy, but I like it that way - for me it adds to the "drama" of the colors and the look.

I like your after shot. My first response to the first shot was that the model is a bit washed out and overwhelmed by the strong colour of the wall behind her. But the crop places her as the focus of the shot while still retaining enough of the background to give the contrast between the wall and the girl.
Thanks for sharing.

I agree. I think the crop works quite nicely.

the model is over exposed on her nose/ cheek and forehead which distracts from the good job on the eyes.

Yeah, I gotta agree with that, there are several blowouts. I also think the crop is too tight - I don't mind head chops (and I'm a chronic headchopper) but this is just a bit too extreme for me.

Otherwise, nice job and a big change for the better.

Default Crop

The contrast is quite unique I would say. The cropping definitely brings out the eyes. Something that I should remember next time.
