Default How to post photos?

Apologies to those in the know from a guy in the dark

I'm new to the site and would like to post to the before & after forum but I can't work out how to post photos. I read the sticky and followed the instruction below:

2. To share your photos please start a new thread and post two images (1 'before' and 1 'after'). If you don't know how to post them see this thread.

I went to the "see this thread" and read the instructions.

I posted my photos to Flickr, grabbed the HTML code (medium) and then pasted it into the body of a new thread.

When I preview post, it still shows the HTML string and not my photos. Can I just say, "Arrghhhhh" and ask for some help?

Posting Photos from Flickr [July 2010 Update]

Did you click "Insert Link" before pasting the code?

That's strange. I was able to post an image w/o having to click that. I just pasted the code.

I restarted my iMac and tried again. This time it worked. I didn't do anything differently the second time. A Gremlin it seems. Still, it's working now.

Thanks for your reply and for trying to assist me.

I have been getting that with links lately. Sometimes it just shows up as the url, no link. Forum problems I guess.

There are definitely some glitches in the forum but links and inserting pictures with HTML ought to be working. If you could point me to some posts where they aren't, I can take a look - an extra space is enough to throw attempted [b ]formatting[/b] out
