Default My first time with Lightroom

I am not able to properly follow the rules here, because I can't tell you what I did. I just downloaded the free trial version of Lightroom 3 and got excited like a kid in the candy store playing around with all the buttons and such. Now I have to really start studying....but for fun here the result.

Other than the border, I think it turned out well.

I tend to thing things like fake borders, white vignetting, and selective coloring are very cheesy and make the images feel antiquated.. but that's me. Otherwise, welcome to LR.. it's sooo good.

Oh, and the feet freaked me out at first haha.

Thanks everyone, happy to hear that you think it came out well I am not sure about the frame myself, but I just had to do it once. And the feet...aaah.....they make the picture for me. But I am definitely a foot fetishist, at least when it comes to the feet of my kids.

Thanks a lot Yulchick! And I agree: Adult feet are a whole different story. But have you seen next weeks assignment: SHOES - great topic, btw - I think we might be seeing a whole bunch of adult feet

As BF said welcome to LR. I use it all the time. One thing to remember is to correct the White Balance first because after setting the WB everything else is easier.

Don't say that too loud around here. I got called every name in the book for that once. lol!

The after looks really nice. It looks like the cold tone preset, which I tend to like.
I am not a huge fan of the border myself.

Thanks a lot - I am really pretty much in the dark about it all. So much to learn....so little time....but I am definitely on my way now - thanks so nice people like you!
