Default Stepping back in Time

I am lucky enough to live near a living history farm, set in the 1880s. I decided to give a try at making some of my images look vintage. As though they were created in the 1880s.

What do you think?

I like the 2nd photo a lot. I like the aged feel to it with the border. But what really sells it for me is the hand writing on the pictures. My Dad has shown me a lot of their old pictures, and almost all of them have that hand writing on the front or the back. Is that a font or did you use some other way to get that look?

I really like the transformation done in this photo. I also liked how you edited the distracting piece of wood or whatever that thing was out. Good job

Hello, fellow Ohioan!

I think you're on the right path to creating a vintage look, you've come so very close yet something's missing and I can't put my finger on it.

So, which park are you referring to?

Is that Slate Run?

I took some shots there back in January. They weren't running any sleighs that day, but they've got a great assortment of buildings, equipment, etc. Here are a few shots from that trip:

Nice job, Tim!

I, too, love to make modern images look vintage! I'll have to post one someday soon.
