Default From a Tuft to a TUFT!

The Original:
Tufts 4 (UNEDITED)

(In Photoshop CS3)
1. Levels to make brighter, just a little bit
2. Duplicate layer
3. On "background copy" Virtual Photographer plugin
3a. Select "Hollywood" filter. Apply
4. Still on "background copy", change opacity to around 50%, depending on desired effect.
5. Merge all visible layers
6. Smart Sharpen 80%, or whatever your prefered sharpening method
9. Admire!

Edited:
Tufts4

Is the first one the edited one?

No, it's the second one. I suppose I should label them...

It might be just me, but i like the first one better. It appears less washed out than the second one.

That is what I was going for. I already had a bunch that looked like the original version and I wanted to imitate the style from The Assassination of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford.

I also think that the first one looks more... not necessarily better but "edited".

I like how the desaturated colors in the edited version give it a more vintage feel. It's a neat style. Incidentally I also like the original for its vibrant colors. So I guess I like them both!

I definitely like what you've done with this one. You've turned it into something I'd probably pass up to something that invokes thought.

I like the editing, makes the picture somewhat easier on the eyes somehow...
