Default Fun with LR3 Clarity Slider

Here I was, out with my camera on a relatively dismal day. I was really hoping to catch some early morning sunlight in the park, but the clouds were not cooperating. So I decided to get a little creative with Lightroom.

Here's the original photo, pretty blah with not much going on. Normally a throw-away.



But, I cropped the image, and dropped the clarity to 0, along with saturation. I adjusted the exposure to +1.25 since I wanted fuzzy brightness to contrast with the bridge. I then painted the man and bridge with the adjustment brush just enough to slightly increase the clarity in that area. Here's what I came up with:

It looks like a ghost standing there in the wild (black & white). Old fashioned Hollywood horror movie? Great piece of work...
