It looks like the photo is a bit overexposed. His skin is blown out and you've lost some detail on the left side (sunny side). The eyes are also soft which could come from a slow shutter speed or maybe you missed the focus point, it's hard to say. I like the black background and the crop. I'd also play with taking photos at his eye level or from much higher up looking down, it might make the shot more dramatic.
Can you list your settings for the shot? It might help people to give better feedback. Keep at it, you've got a beautiful model there!!! |

I'd crop in a little tighter so he isn't left with half a foot hanging out there.
