I worked this over in PS CS5 a little but I can't remember exactly what all I did to it.

Camera Pentax K-x
Exposure 0.01 sec (1/100)
Aperture f/5.6
Focal Length 55 mm
ISO Speed 400
Exposure Bias 0 EV
Exposure Program Aperture-priority AE

Nice job - looks like some of the great depression pics my father sent me a while back - featuring images of people beside train tracks, on sand and dust covered farms...

Both pictures looks very different. Great Job. The colors makes the difference in both pictures. Generally we don't take photographs we make it. Wonderful pics.
