What exactly were you trying to do? And is the before you posted the base exposure? If so, how many stops above and below did you bracket?

For the record, I like the before as is. I might try to boost the contrast slightly but it's pretty alluring SOOC.

Fog is awesome.... so hard to fake in post and its never there when you want it to be. But when it is, it makes for dramatic shots. Cool photo

I don't know if you can get scary. Maybe if it was shot earlier in the day (darker) you might get something. But I gave it a shot and tried some different things in photoshop.

Used Camera Raw to do some tunning to bring out some color/contrast. Then used Nik Software to make some other adjustments.

I personally think you should be happy with what you did :0)

Although it wasn’t what you were going for...the best ideas are written in sand, and plans in stone. Or words to that effect lol I love the way your edits turned out. That fog and lighting in the clouds is spectacular, and although you can’t take credit for the lighting and fog…you captured the moment perfectly!

wow. the second shot is very dramatic. I am curious(as i have never been able to shoot 'fog'... without it epically failing)... how did you manage it?

Wow, very nice. Though I agree with PP... it looked better before the edits.

Wow, this is one epic shot. Where'd you take it from? The top of the mountain? The HDR looks crazy
