Default Gas Pump and Church

I saw this gas pump on Route 66 it really just caught my eye. It's a little over processed but it's over processed on purpose.

This is a chapel in Yosemite, I really wanted to give this an almost illustrated feel.

Thanks for looking,

Well I really like what you did with the gas pump, but the house just doesn't look right at all - way too red and I'm not really sure you achieved the look you wanted. It just looks, well, kinda wrong!

Default Nice but ...

I like the gas pump it looks cool but the church looks kind of overdone. The original is a very nice picture and I think you can make it amazing with some other adjustments. Just something to think about.

Thank you for commenting. I appreciate ur comments. I know the church is overdone. I used the cartoon effect and was trying to make it look like someone painted or drew it. I'll try to re adjust some stuff to make it look better.

Gas Pump looks good. Maybe try to add some texture/rustic effect? Give it a bit more of a vintage look?

Chapel well yeah to much saturation for me. Been there done that. Have you tried Pixel Bender? Might give you a nice effect that your looking for?

Just my Opinion

Gas pump looks cool, reminds me of a 80’s robot from a tv show lol. The church……not so much. Take a look at these video links from adobe TV. One talks about single shots, the other talks about merging multiple images. Maybe it will help you with future projects.

I liked what you did with both shots, the church wood siding really showed up in the after shot and it has a surreal look that I find eye catching, definetly my favorite.
