[QUOTE=klam;1079041]davewhite- To remove or not to remove? If it's a personality portrait try not to change any of the persons defining traits like birthmarks, scars, freckles, etc. But we can lighten the birthmarks, make the wrinkles less deep, and maybe enhance the scars, and so on. Remove redness, pimples, etc since it's not a defining trait.

It's hard to know whether to take them out or not. I think you did a really good job on the skin, and the only thing I would say is that to me, the freckles on her arm distract a little from the rest of the picture.

I had thought about removing the darkest mole from her shoulder but at the end I decided to keep it. Yes, I can see how the mole can distract.

Thanks for commenting

I actually really love that you kept the two moles on her shoulder and did not retouch them out.

Wonderful job.

wow definitely B&W for me, the details are well kept.
I use plug-in like portraiture but it is too smooth.
nice job on the retouch

Thanks.

I don't have Portraiture myself but I hear you can control the amount of smoothness applied. I've seen some nice stuff done with it.
