Default Dragonflies

So this is one my favorite shots I've taken in a while except for one glaring thing: the blade of grass covering the bottom dragonfly...

BEFORE
Three Dragonflies

I basically used the clone stamp and healing brush. I didn't want to completely remove it, so the hardest part was making the end look somewhat natural.

AFTER
Three Dragonflies

Really my first attempt using the clone stamp to completely remove something from an image. Any suggestions and tips welcome.

You did a nice job cloning it out but those look like damsels, not dragon flies.

Had you not shown me the before, I would not have known the grass was there. Great job.

Thank you, and I stand corrected. They are damselflies, although until I looked it up, I never knew there was a difference. You learn something new every day!

Wow what a capture, you'll never see that again! lol. But you did an excellent job of removing that piece of grass, it looks completely normal.

Wow! Great Shot.

I got myself a Canon 100mm f/2.8L Macro lens today and hope to be doing some macro in the future.

This is a great inspiration.

That is fairly good. If you do not tell no one will know the clone tool work.

I've been drooling over the non-L version of that lens for a while.

This shot was actually taken with an EF-S 55-250 f/4-5.6 IS.

Thanks again everyone!
