Hope you don't mind, I had a go at it. The yellow cast was just too... well, yellow

evn1ngstar is right. it is still yellow. what you can do is go to levels and click the middle eyedropper and click on the sweater of the young man on the right to correct the color cast and adjust further by moving the middle slider, and while you're, at at, maybe touch up the blotchy gray wall and the shine on their faces and the red eye of the boy. lastly, straighten the photo. and if you like after doing all of these, duplicate the corrected image and apply highpass filter and set to overlay to sharpen it a bit.

I had a go at it also, seemed like a fun project. I think in some aspects it came out good, although in reducing some of the noise in the picture I lost some of the color detail and facial details.

Hi Kevin:

I think you did a great work with the noise, but at some point it looks like it is like painted on canvas, don't you think?

I appreciate the work you do... my family will look all the editing you send...

Looking at it now, with the comment "looks like it is like painted on canvas" in my mind you might be right??? I think with the noise reduction, it "softens" the hard lines giving it that effect.... Thanks for your comments though, it's a tough project and a good learning experience.
