Default Football Picture

Hi, New member here so be easy..! This is my first attempt at taking a shot of my son and editing it. I used Photoshop for this. I can definetly use more practice, but I just thought I would share this. Have a great day.

I really like this. How did you get the blur exactly?

Yea, not bad with the blurred background but I'm not sure what's going on with the running back's right arm...

LOL ! Whats going on is that I did a crappy job! I just signed up for a class to take so by the end of the month I should have a better handle on this. I just did a bad job on the outlining.

Not bad, but I don't think the arm behind the guy in the white jersey belongs to him. If you look at the Original picture, look at the numbers on the white jersey, you'll see what looks to be part of an elbow. If you continue down, you'll see two black nubs. They look like fingers craddling the ball into his arm.

I'd personally delete his right arm. Given the angle of his elbow behind the body you could trick the viewer into think the arm is behind his body. It'd look much cleaner as you don't have much to work with given the original shot. I'd try and blend the foreground and background a bit better, just run over the edges with the blur tool at 30-50% strength and it should get rid of the harshness of the lines in the image and give it a far more natural look.

Default Good one!!

Really good one. But the hand of the boy is missing or not so clear. Except for that, the blur background, is a very good creative idea.
