Default Fixed underwater shot

I took some pictures underwater using a SeaLife DC800 whilst at the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, but due to lack of time to familiarise myself with the camera I didn't get the white balance right and due to the way underwater photography works ended up with some very blue shots. After a quick tutorial from a friend I was able to use Photoshop to fix them though

What mode were you shooting in? Were you in standard underwater mode? I don't think it is so much a white balance issue. I shoot a DC600 and in underwater mode it adds the reds back in.
