Hi - this is my first post, so apologies if it doesn't come out right.
I am just learning photography and photoshop and have not managed to save up for an SLR yet. This was taken with my Cybershot compact at a local music festival, ISO 100 and no flash. I desaturated it, cropped it and adjusted the contrast over the whole picture. Then I made another layer of the sky only and increased the contrast of that portion by itself. Lastly I used the burn tool on the backs of the letters to make them stand out more. I wanted it to be a more dramtic picture and I really love black and white. Any and all feedback appreciated - same on my wordpress site that I am just starting. That Glass Moment | Just another WordPress.com site |

Thank you
![]() Partly for practical reasons - the sign was at the edge of the festival and on top of a hill so shooting it from the other side meant the background was very boring. I wanted to show people between the letters. Partly because I thought it made a more interesting shot with the tower blocks in the distance. I finally managed to save up for a dslr so if you're interested there are some more shots of mine here Thanks for replying! |
