Default Graffiti Production Edit

Well, here's my first post so here goes nothing. A few days ago while en route to a show here in Toronto, I stopped by at a wall that a buddy of mine told me about, his friend had recently painted (legally, this one at least, can't say the same for others on my Flickr) I just had my point and shoot with me (Canon PowerShot SD880 IS) so I snapped a few pics (these ones are already edited, but not cropped).

Seeing as they were done in a small alleyway and the lense on this camera isn't very large, I couldn't get a front on shot that encompassed the entire piece so I thought I'd do some post production after, I didn't have enough shots available to be able to make a flat panoramic of it, so I decided I'd make something out of it, that wasn't really there, and ended up making it look like it was taken in the corner of an alley, and here it is:

This was achieved by using the original Rock UN photo (top one pictured) and changing the perspective of the Kwota piece (the one with the Skull) to match, and then add in the brick texture and ground to replace the missing areas. I added my own artificial shadows to the wall on the right, along with some details on the ground and on the pipes, just to add some depth. I realize now that there are a few areas in the bricks which do not quite match up so I'll be fixing that really quickly, but I thought it'd be a nice 'technique' (maybe?) to share as my first post here.

Cool work, it looks like it was actually in a corner!

Part of your post and photo blocked by an ad. I assume you took two flat pics and merged them to show a corner. Very creative idea and nicely executed.

Great job piecing the two together. It's believable. I do think something looks a little weird in the pic, I just can't put my finger on it. .......oh wells, nice job!

Yeah I have the same feeling, I think it might be that the foreground looks a bit plain compared to the rest of the picture, seeing as this has already gone beyong 'reality' I'll see about putting something there.
