Default Firework Flower

I love the big burst of flowers that the Allium balls have, reminds me of fireworks-- which is quite fitting for today! Here's the B+A of a pic I took earlier this summer that I didn't really like at the time because my depth of field was too shallow. I used Lightroom and Photoshop to do the editting.

Lovely. You've done a great job bringing out the detail of the flower. The texture and color change to the background makes me think I'm looking out a rain covered window.

Totally gorgeous. As mentioned before, the texture is eye-catching. But it more reminds me of old, twitchy films. Like the silent ones, where the lines sometimes flash down the screen? I doubt I'm making any sense, haha.

It's almost surreal looking, anyway. Good job!

Great DOF use by blurring out the background.

You did a fantastic job. The second and third image are my favourite because the flower really stands out. Although it pops in the colour image just because it's purple vs. green, the lighting is rather flat here. I'd like to see the flower with an increase in exposure or - for future reference - with some light reflected onto it (a plain old mirror to the side will do).

Regardless, I like the main image you posted. Very nice.

sadly, i have to wait till next year to get another shot at this! but i'll try to keep the mirror in mind. they are under a tree so it's a bit hard to get the right light.

That's lovely! The final image is gorgeous! Did you ad noise in Photoshop to get that result or apply a texture to the image? You could post a tutorial if you have the time because I'm sure a lot of people would be interested to know how you arrived at the end result.
