Default Toddler B & A

Just playing around taking shots of my son and his monster trucks.I cropped out the monster trucks, and used the clone tool to clean the blue ice cream off his face. I used a couple PW actions and adjusted them to suit my needs, and made the eyes a bit brighter.

It's still a bit brighter than I'd like and his arms look like he got into some fake tanning spray, but I got a little irritated with PS and decided to just leave it like this, for now.

After:

That pic turned out very well.....his eyes really stand out. It beats using a cloth to wash his face.

Good post-prod.,
but I don't like framing.
IMHO Maybe if you cut left side more.

This is a really good edit and I don't think it's too bright. If the tanned skin is bothering you, you can mask the arms and do a selective colour layer and adjust reds and yellows. That should eliminate some of the oversaturation there.

Thanks! Yea, something about me holding a wet wipe to clean his face makes him run around screaming at the top of his lungs!

I'm not crazy about the framing either, but it looks to boxed in for me when I crop it. Thanks for your comment!

Ooh, good idea, why didn't I think of that? Thanks for your comment!

Hmm, I think you did a pretty good job on this one. The colours turned out great, the tone of the skin and the clothing. Other than that the clarity looks pretty good.
Overall, a very nice "Before & After*

If you are going to mask out the arms, mask out the irises of the eyes a little and get them a little brighter so they really pop!

He is just adorable! I actually think you could almost frame it even close to the right arm, so it's slightly more off and have a little more space on the left side of the image, the unbalanced look might give it a bit more interest..... Just my two cents!

I think you did a great job. In the future, you might start by removing the toys from the image first and then choose your framing. It does feel cramped and removing those toys should be quite easy given all the other open concrete from which you can sample to clone stamp. I also like your treatment of the image, but it might be a *bit* saturated for my taste. I also feel strongly you should NOT brighten the eyes here as it will look fake. What you have now is a good image that needs a tiny bit of crop help.

I like that better - it's balanced well. Very nice.

PS - Well, this with bbdots' editing. This looks a bit too saturated to me.
