Default Noise or no noise..??

I've asked few people and they've had varied opinions. Just wondering what you think?

It really depends on what your going for.I think the one with noise looks older and vintage.

I normally like to reduce the noise but I prefer the yours with noise. I agree with Aliceinlove..it's looks older and vintage.

I say if you are gonna add noise than ADD NOISE. Don't be shy about it. If you feel the image would benefit, the go for it and make it obvious. Otherwise I think this slight of a treatment might be looked at as an error rather than an artistic choice. Just my opinion. I know I really tend to go overboard on my treatments but that is what I am known for

Cool, thanks all. I'm displaying them both on my flickr (what the heck :P) but the one with the noise remains my choice.

Quite frankly in this small size on the computer screen I really don't see much difference in noise. What I do see is that the second image is lighter and I can see more detail on the man's face -- I like that. I would like it even more if you could brighten up the man more as too much detail is missing.

I prefer the man's face with no noise and the background with noise. The noise seems to soften the background and make it look vintage.
