Default Beauty Treatment

Not that she needs too much work to maker her beautiful, but I enhanced the picture by smoothing her skin with PS Plug-in Portraiture (great plug-in to take imperfections out of the face and skin)
I also enhance the vibrancy in PS and finally created a white vignette around her image.

Original picture out of the camera

And the final version

I think you did a great job with the picture, I just think that maybe I would have liked to be able to see the details of the dress a lite more, like they can bee seen on the original, but otherwise, keep up the nice work!!!

I think that's a great example of how to save a photo. Many might look at the original and think it was beyond recovery, but your fixed version looks amazing. I agree it loses some details in the dress, but if I didn't see the first image I wouldn't even know the details were there.

Great results. Any chance you can post a step-by-step on your adjustments?

Yes, you are right. Unfortunatelly by increasing the levels and filling the pictures with more light, it lost some of the dress details. To be honest, I didn't even noticed until you mentioned. Perhaps I would go back and try to fix it a little bit different so the details will be there. Thanks for point it out.

The first thing I did (this is pretty much the first thing I do with all my pictures during post processing) was use the Curves in PS, in order to give more clarity (light) to the picture.

Once I did that, I then used the Portraiture Plug in to smooth her skin (if you don't have the plug in, you can still do it with some other tricks. Here is a link to a tutorial that shows you how Superb Skin Airbrush Technique | Photoshop Tutorials

I then increase the vibrancy to bring the colors up, especially the yellow on the flowers.

Finally I did a white vinegette around her image.

I hope this helps

Good job. I'm with the more detail to the dress bandwagon also. But that's easy and quick enough to do and probably worth the while.
