Default Osprey landing with fish....

I thought I would share what I did with this photo with you all. First thing I did was crop it. Then I removed the the branch at the bottom below it's tail feathers, and the goofy one to the right of it( it was distracting I thought). Sharpened it a little, and added a little fill light. Not too much else.

before....

after...

Good work - glad to see that you are not adverse to changing the aspect ratio & that lower branch just had to go!

As a matter of interest what was the focal length used & how did you come by such an amazing shot ?

I shot this with my 70-200L at 200mm on a tripod with a remote shutter release. I was at a Bird in Flight class with my photog club at Honeymoon Island in Dunedin Florida. There are Osprey everywhere at the park. Kind of like shootinf fish in a barrel LOL. Bound to get a keeper eventualy . Thanks for the compliments.

I like your original photo as well! Both compositions are well done, but I'm sure you know that.
