RW, I am truly inspired by your work here. I too live near a few bridges (SF Bay Area) and have attempted a number of night shots, but the results have been far from flatterning as I've made adjustment after adjustment, with little success. I also have the Pentax k100d and after seeing your photo, I now understand, more than ever, the importance of knowing HOW to take a good shot. Before this I could not have imagined that type of image coming from the k100d.
I'll continue to sharpen my photograhy skills and hopefully in the near future I can take photo's in a similar vien. Until then keep the inspiration coming. Thanks! |

I know this is a simple before and after, but these are my first attempts at moving to manual on my camera. (I have only had it since Christmas). Photo was edited with Picasa 3 changed to black and white and slightly cropped after is was uploaded to flickr. Looking forward to more posts. nice pic, but maybe it would be much better if you removed the black thing on top left corner too?

I'm not sure if the building is as distracting as the black thing in the upper left-hand corner. Love the lightning.
