May I suggest, select the area outside the pan (and also within the rings of the handle) and apply a Gaussian Blur (use a Radius of 5 to 8). Then, invert your selection and do a "Sharpen" in Photoshop. This would allow you to present a crisp foreground image, with the background rendered "out of focus" if you will.
