Default Restored Hotrod

Did another "Tuned/restored" edit. This time I used a Hotrod, mainly because I wanted to see what results I could get from a faded/flat paint job. The hardest part would be the reflections, which mostly was created by painting due to the flatness of the original paint.

Before:

After:

*Lowered,chopped top,raked front grill back,shaved door handle,Tinted windows,
Added flames,Custom firewall,Touched up front end. Misc. touch ups...cloning & spot healing out rough areas.

*For the reflections I created a new layer and painted the same areas from the orig. with white paint then reduced the opacity to desired look.

Any feedback is appreciated

Thanks

Wow great work, I used to dabble in this sort of thing when I first learned photoshop, in fact I got into photoshop to play around with pics of cars before I ever started using it for photography. Your skills are far greater then mine though, I find its really hard to do such a drastic change in paint color and still have a pic that feels realistic, but you acheieved that. Great work.

Chris:
Thanks , I appreciate it very much. I too purchased PS for this reason but gave it a break at first since I had many failures haha, but I'm back at it again...with a lil' more knowledge.
PM me sometime if you ever need some tips I might have to offer.

MrRod:
Haha Thanks, wish they were mine !

great job!

you also made the man on the side disappear!

btw, would it be easier if you just placed a hood on the car (the missing front hood) or is painting in a new one too much work?

Thanks ihsankhairir

Not sure if I understand your question fully ? If your asking if I would rather "copy & paste" a hood from another car rather than paint one on...yes. The style of hood would be difficult to "paint" due to the hinges and louvers. But sticking to the Hotrod look, I didn't want one on anyhow.

If I didn't answer your question I'll give another go haha, just let me know.
