The second one is better, I think if you removed the harsh highlights on the body panels it would make it look alot better though. But as for the effect your going for...well done !

Nice, I like the 2nd one, especially how the bright backlighting emphasizes the sleek shape of the car! I find the green a bit distracting though...maybe try it in black and white/monotone??

Here is a nice example of where two exposures can be sweet. 2 unique photos, one exposed for the cool light, and another exposed just for the car. In photoshop you can put them on layers and use the blending mode "lighten" to get a shot that has both elements exposed properly. You have to do this on the ground, or on a tripod of course, cause you can't move the camera at all between the images. We all learn a bit more with every photo we take, and you have a good eye for seeing light, so already have a huge step completed.
