I used Nik's Vivesa 2 on both photos. On the first photo, I selected the foreground city and brought up the brightness and added contrast. For the sunset, I increased saturation, increased the blues and reds. I also increased the structure for both the sky and the foreground city. I also added contrast between the mountain on the left and the sea below.

On the second picture, I increased the contrast. I increased saturation and reduced brightness in the background area only. I increased structure and finally cropped the photo.

nice work. keep it up. i am surprised to see that increasing the brightness and contrast in the cityscape part of the first image can reveal so many details.

Yeah, it's the beauty of Nik's u-point technology. you can selectively choose which portions of the photograph to edit without having to created complicated masks or layers. It's a powerful tool.

It wouldn't be possible to get an image of the leaf at the same crop? just for a strict comparison. I find it hard to judge how much clarity has been added or not.

Here's another one from Jerusalem.

In this picture I added saturation to the wall, and a little warmth. I increased the structure of the wall and they sky, brought out the blues in the sky and increased contrast.
