Default Childhood memories - aging a photograph with the help of textures

I've been playing around with textures recently & am pretty happy with the way this one turned out so I thought I'd share.

Original photograph

Edited photograph
Childhood memories...

My aim was to age the photograph, but in an interesting way that would add interest rather than just make it look old.

Camera settings:
Canon EOS 400D Digital
Exposure: 0.025 sec (1/40)
Aperture: f/4.0
Focal Length: 50 mm
ISO Speed: 400

Editing
This was done in PSE5 and was relatively simple.
- clean up image (sharpen etc)
- duplicate layer & convert second layer to b&w
- add a sepia filter to the b&w layer, lighten a little & increase contrast
- reduce the opacity of the b&w/sepia layer to retain a small hint of colour.
- drag a texture onto the image (the one I used was from Pareeerica on flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/8078381@N03/4202894268/ ) & change the layer setting to colour burn.

That's it.
