Default Chopped Ship, Meridian, Greenwich UK

There is a weird sight - a slice of a ship - the bridge chopped of from stem and stern - standing upright in the river Thames, London, by the Greenwich Meridian Line. The 'before' picture shows it like this:-

I used Transform/Skew to remove the slight lens distortion, and then applied a layer of Topaz Adjust (Dramatic pre-set was best...). Then I used Blending Layers in Overlay, used Smart Filters (if you have it) and then applied a 5 pixel High Pass filter. This turned the dark clouds upper left quite grainy (which can lend to the photo's grittiness) but I elected this time for some de-noising via Topaz Denoise. The CS3 shot of the layers palette can be seen here:-

The final product, far more electric and dramatic than the start photo - I think you will agree - is an eyecatcher.

This was shot using a Nikkor 14-24mm full-frame lens on a Nikon D700 full-frame body.
