Default sugestions for sunsets

i shot this sunset slighlty over exposed, i have not changed any thing on this photo, IE photo shop CS2 ect... these colors are unchanged unmanipulated. what could i do to have made it abetter photo before and after? the shot? i had to shrink the file to upload but as a 36 by 24 poster on metalic paper it looks verry nice.

This is a great capture. I've only been lucky enough to catch one sunset so striking, only my shots are full of power lines and poles. Those take forever to crop out. Your shot is "picture perfect" (no pun intended). The only change I would consider is to darken up the trees and forground to make a true silouette. I think this would allow your reflection to stand out more. The composition is good, as well as the cropping. I would love to see your poster. I'll bet it's amazing. Thanks for sharing.

I wasn't sure this was still on Flickr. This is the original shot I took last October, before cloning out the power-poles and lines. You were clearly in a much better location to get the shot than I was. Did you use a tripod or was your shot handheld?

Fantastic shot, but I agree it should be a complete silhouette. Also I'd like to see more in the reflection of the water.

i used a tripod and actualy have about 6-7 shots total that were decent i think i have them posted on my flickr home page. "tarol_cabot"
