Well it is certainly obvious from your other posts that you have some sort of an affinity with selective coloring.

In the particular image, I'm too fond of the tree branches on the right side. Moving over to the left and shooting this would help. That, or you could get handy with cloning. I really love glass buildings, so for me, I'd kind of like to see a little more of it. Maybe some sky too. Even if it's flat, it creates a nice accent to the glass.

BUT, for me, the whole B&W with a section in color has really lost its original luster. It just seems to be a way to make somewhat uninteresting or unoriginal images a little more "artsy," a word I've grown to detest. It starts to look very "postcard."
This, like HDR, post-produced grain, textures, etc all have their time and place. A very specific one. I'm not really convinced that this is an appropriate image to be using selective color on, but it is very good that you're experimenting with it. This is probably the best way you could have used the technique on this image.
Happy shooting!

You got on your horse and rode off in several directions--- architectural, selective colorization and reflections. Had you concentrated on any one of those, the photo may have had more impact. As an architectural shot, the building is too close cropped. As for colorization, the area is too small and lacks impact to justify the use of the technique. As a reflection, the reflection is overpowered by the mass of the building and the lack of a subject that grabs your attention. I think you have a good eye but just tried to pack too much into this one image.

geotography,

Maybe a good note for you: on 4, 5, and 6th look, it could be seen as a window wall, that entered from the outside, takes you . . . outside (the colorized bit).

Concept OK, execution needs work.

I have to agree that this selective colour thing is getting old. But then again its all been done so I mean where do you go from here? The best thing is to keep shooting and try different things. Everything comes back around =)

I would have gone back a few steps and also tried not too include the branches on the right, they are distracting...Maybe you can clone them out?
