Post Final Memory

This is last picture of my mother before she passed away ( one week later ). I converted it from color to b/w. Tell me your honest opinions.

Molokai, what a nice memory to have of your mother. There is nice sharpness to your shot and it shows the lovely character of her face. The angle is good, too. There might be a little distraction with the background (b&w stripes on the right), but these could be edited out if you want.

Molokai,
I'm sorry for your loss. My mother went too fast for us to plan ahead and take photos. I regret every missed opportunity. I am very glad for you, that you have a fresh and well done picture to help keep her memory alive. Treasure it.

Saralonde, Thanks for the link. There has already been a great deal of good advice posted there. But sometimes best wishes from someone whos' been through the tough stuff, too, can help to ease your anxiety. My thoughts will be with her.

that was a very nice blog entry you pointed us to, saralonde. i like your shot, molokai, though the background tends to be distracting. there's a softness and tenderness about the photograph that i really like.
