I was testing out my new Tamron 17-50 F2.8 last night. Wow, this lens it pretty sharp and fast. I took fews pics of some colorful straws.

Hey KLNYC! I really like this. Great DOF, nice tight crop and an interesting direction that the straws move in. Very nice.
My only crit/suggestion would be the over exposed straws at the top of the bunch. May have just been unlucky with a few white ones up there rather than the pretty pinks! Very sharp though Me likes!

Interesting, fun and playful were all words that came to mind. As I look at it though, my eye gets caught in the upper right corner because it is so different from the rest of the shot. I think if you could feather or fade more gradually to the darker tone it would be better.

I like the exposer in this image if the straws at the top were not over exposed I think it would lack the depth and look to flat. I think you could up the saturation a lot in this image however to get something that pops a little more.
