Sadly this is suffering motion blur. From what I can tell the focus and DOF seem fine. I might have taken this holding the camera the other way. The stem seems not so interesting as the missing petals. The colors are spectacular! Awesome subject and I hope you find an opportunity for a retake.

If you can (re)move the subject to a natural but less windy location and use a tripod. I've made some tries at steadying flowers with a laundry hanger. Just straighten it out and clip it short enough to be of use. Poke it in the ground and use a small rubber band to clamp the stem to the other end. Make sure to clamp down beyond the where you are taking the shot.
