Very good shot! You nailed the eyes. That's tough to do, especially for a beginner. Since she is not looking at the camera, maybe you should crop a little tighter on the left to leave her more room to gaze to the right. All in all, a very good shot. I've seen professionals (if that's what you call Walmart & K-mart photographers), sell shots that couldn't hold a candle to yours. You should be proud. Keep practicing, you have a very good eye.
P.S. As much as I would like for you to send me your camera, I'm sure it's better off in your hands. I don't think I could do it justice.

I like the photo a lot, but the pose bugs me a little. Nice tones, great focus, clear eyes and pretty skin, but the pose is like a bad senior picture pose. The two protrait things that are nice are the just below eye level and the 3/4 turn, but the wrist looks broken and it is squishing her chin into a funny shape. I would like to see her full elbow and less on the left. I really wish she were look right at me. You have good technique, just keep practicing the natural capture so the subject's personality comes through.

I agree with other comments. It is a lovely picture, but it looks very posed. As I have been experimenting w/ my own portrait work, I've found the more natural the pose the better. Other than that the lighting is good and it looks great in b&w.
