I am really a rookie in photography, but for what it's worth I really like that shot, and I think that the carved "2" could make a good shot as well (hope I am being clear...). By the way, is it written in french in the background ?
Edit : Maybe getting rid of the text on card would do good, I mean, digitally erasing it or with a pair of scissors, everyone seems to agree that the text attract the eyes. Don't know what the others think about that... Last edited by Krimo; 12-17-2006 at 03:52 PM. |

Hello SueB,
Nice pic, the "2" is spot on, and the dof on the background is a nice effect that compliments the pen, my comment would be the "caution" word which led me to read the stuff written on the card, i dunno how to suggest a way to fix that but as it is, its a great pic already! my opinion

i think what everyone is saying is that the text being out of focus is right on, becuase if it was in focus, THEN it would be distracting. i think the shot is great as is

in my opinion, i think the card and the pen in focus worked well - it just tells me that the two are an "item", that they go together...the nicely done out of focus handwritten text in the background accented the shot quite well...
