Three of my favs taken during a recent cruise.I very new to this, and have no training or courses. I just bought a Nikon D50 from a friend who's "upgraded". I love this camera, but I'm still using auto mode.

Pic #1 - Seems a little hazy and looks like you can bring out some of the detail, also straighten the horizon

#2&3 - the roof is really distracting to me, the color and the texture of it leads my eyes there, try cropping tighter to the boys, i really like the capture though, looks like you took it at just the right time.
Also #3 has a little blue and white at bottom right - could try to crop that out.

I know you're shooting in Auto, but maybe try P mode? Were these in Jpeg or RAW?
