Default Still Life with Chair

Still life with chair

This is my first attempt at what I consider a proper still life i.e. still stuff with carefully constructed lighting (like in a painting), although it is only getto lighting here, and enhanced slightly with PS. Would really love some feeback!

ktlindsay,

Impressions: Attention seems to be on lamp and wall. Cup could be a little accent piece, if in a color complementary to wall. Composition is tight, like a crowded room. Tangled cord is a distraction. Chair is facing slightly left, out of photo, yet tilts down on left (entire photo tilts left: see wall intersection). Furniture is very tightly arranged.

I like it. Go figure.

Hey ktlindsay, I like this. Other than the composition tips JC gave I think it would have been nice to have a little more of the pattern of the chair visible.

Good work
