Default Portrait of my daughter

I shot this with the on camera flash and the business card bounce. ISO 400, adjusted levels and removed noise.

Thanks for the feedback!

stockphotojourney,

Wet eyelashes are great! Hadn't noticed before how they gather into points like paintbrushes. The eyes are such an important part of a portrait that, while I can appreciate experimenting (and the deflected flash does prevent some trauma), this one has left the eyes dark and with a ceiling catchlight. You can fix these in post work if you find them troubling. The other areas are not magazine-perfect (skin and background are as Nature made them) and that can be charming. Eyes could use some more life, lighter, more contrast.

Keeping significant body parts from touching the edge of photo frame will present less distraction. Allowing just an extra half-inch below lip would present a better face. Cutting off is OK; it matters where you cut.

Hi there,

I love this shot as its so natural. What a great subject you have to work with.

I dont think you need to do anything post production as this pic is a natural shot of your daughter - just the way she is.

Great work

nice snap of your youngun.....the bounce needs to be practiced a bit as the lower and left sides of her face are muddier than the right.....

she's a beautiful girl
