Manual mode, or manual focus?

Either way it's a nice sharp photo. I might wood have done a different crop thou.

JUNCKMAN,

What's wrong, you ask? Obviously your cat is heavy into catnip. And what WooD said. And your cat's better looking than mine.

I think you got a nice shot for first attempt. The focus is where it should be and the exposure os real nice. The white looks white the fur looks like fur. I think the only thing is the crop. I think cutting the ears off isnt necessarily the worst thing you could have done but might have been a better photo with them. Then again this might be the best crop to keep focus on the eyes and nose.

The cat's face could perhaps be a little further into the frame (it seems a bit tight round its left eye) but the photo is an otherwise excellent result. As TTTTuning asks, what equipment are you using? You seem to have those details hidden on your Flickr account.

I love cats and I think you have captured some very crisp detail in your shot. I too think that the ears would've been a good inclusion for a bit more breadth in the frame. However, well done.

Default Equipment

It's not that I have my settings hidden on my Flickr account it's that I haven't gotten around to filling out a profile. I am new to all this. The camera I have is a Digital Canon Rebel XT with a EFS 18-55mm lens. You know I am not even sure how I got that focus on his eyes and nose. I would like to try again and get his ears but I am not sure how I shot it.

I'm not sure if this will work, but if you fill out your profile on Flickr, and re-submit the photo, you may be able to read your EXIF data. Worth a try. Then, you'll know what settings you used, to take some more. If this works, let us know. You're not the first member I've seen, who lost their data. Thanks, and nice shot.

Thanks!

I heard there is a way to see the EXIF data in Photoshop. I have CS3. Does anyone know?
