This is my 1st attempt at critique - I like his face and expression but, for me, there is something not working with his arms. I especially like your female orangutang though.

Good shot. Eye (photo right) could use a little lightening; catchlight detail is there, darkly. Showing paws would have been a bonus, still a good portrait.

Nice shot. I'd suggest perhaps....

1. Zoom out a little bit. I don't know if this is a cropping, but I'd love to see just a LITTLE more of the rock above and to the left.
2. Increase the contrast a bit with photoshop or whatnot. I think you might be able to make the picture POP a little more.
3. Tweak the color balance a bit to green up the grass a little more.

Just a couple thoughts. Take it all with a grain of salt.
